DO I NEED COUNCIL PERMISSION?
Wherever possible, shipping containers should be placed within your property boundaries – in your driveway or on your front lawn. In these instances, council permission is not necessary. If however, you would like the shipping container on the nature strip or across any part of council land, then it is very likely that you will need a permit. Every council is different and has its own regulations on containers. As a generla rule, we do not allow containers to be delivered and left on the road to pack. It is recommended that you give your local council a call before making a purchase or arranging a removal shipping container for your Interstate removal.
WHAT IF, YOU CAN'T GET A CONTAINER INTO MY STREET/HOUSE/APARTMENT?
This happens from time to time. Perhaps your street is too narrow for a truck, power poles or overhead power lines are in the way or council restrictions prevent the delivery of a container. In these instances, we can offer a LIVE loading of the container, where the driver will wait while you pack on-site, or we can discuss options for your individual requirements.
